Bell Street Ocean Grove

We wanted to build 4 townhouses on a double block in Ocean Grove.    Due to personal reasons we decided to build two, and another two earmarked for 2017.

We chose Leigh Cass Builders because of past recommendations from very happy clients, and also after seeing their workmanship.  They are perfectionists!

When you go into a build as a newby (like us), the over riding factor can be price. But price isn’t necessarily the most important aspect when deciding on a builder.  After going through the process of building two houses at once with LCB, we realised that what is equally, or even more important is the builder going into bat for us with other stakeholders such as the Council, and also, their attention to detail and not letting workmanship from sub contractors to be anything other than perfect. Being newby’s meant that we had to rely, at times heavily, on the support and back up of Mark and Leigh and they really did keep us well informed, advise us and guide us through what was often a difficult process with stakeholders.

What makes Leigh Cass Builder different? I would say number 1 is their perfection, they are passionate about their project and they do not cut corners. One day I wandered onto the site to see Leigh up on a ladder painting a little piece of wood that was on the 2^nd storey and at the back of the house, almost totally obscure, but Leigh was up there painting it because he wanted it to look perfect. The other defining thing for me during the build process was that Leigh and Mark remained professional, calm and able to express themselves so well even in the face of our stress with dealing with Council and utility companies who were halting progress.

Leigh and Mark were on time with the completion, in fact, they finished 4 days early.  And they finished early in the face of a very wet winter, and frustrating changes by local Council regarding infrastructure. Leigh and Mark always made us feel welcome on site. Their tradies (carpenters, concreters, painters etc) were all absolutely lovely and they were all in for a friendly chat.  We have signed up with these guys to build our next two townhouses, which are bigger and more luxurious, and we couldn’t be more comfortable about this pending adventure.

Lastly, the workmanship of the townhouses is exceptional.  These homes are built to last.
